Integrated Programs

To align our approach with changing educational needs, the college has initiated various programs to inculcate in learners the skills that are required to operate effectively in today’s world. The programs integrated into classrooms are:

Leader in Me is a program aimed at inspiring the next generation of self-reliant individuals who are in charge of their own lives. It’s basically a transformation model that empowers learners with the life skills they need to thrive in the 21st century. With the implementation of this program, we are making an effort to transform children into adolescents who are successful in the college and beyond. The program focuses on shaping the following habits:

  • Habit 1: Be proactive
  • Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind
  • Habit 3: Put first things first
  • Habit 4: Think win-win
  • Habit 5: Seek first to understand, then to be understood
  • Habit 6: Synergize
  • Habit 7: Sharpen the saw

Mindfulness is an effective tool for settling learners at the beginning of any classroom activity, and is a practice that strengthens and develops important cognitive skills. It also facilitates the development of important social and emotional skills through each developmental stage of a learner’s life. The college has integrated mindfulness into its classroom where exercises to develop mindfulness are conducted on regular basis. The prime objective of integrating mindfulness activities is to enable learners to take in new information without being distracted by internal reactions and to reduce potential obstacles standing in the way of their learning.
